Central Kids ministry provides a safe and fun environment for your children to learn about Jesus.
We use The Gospel Project curriculum on Sunday mornings and send children home with Family Field Guides each week to equip families with tools for family devotions and investment into young lives all week long.
All teachers are required to submit to a thorough background check.
We use a state of the art computer check-in system for our Kids Ministry. We thank you for following this process to help ensure your child's safety.
At Central, We feel the best way to lead kids to become authentic followers of Jesus is by helping them form a solid spiritual foundation, helping them learn to “walk” with God in these five ways:
Walk in the Gospel
We are devoted to teaching kids the Gospel and calling them into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our aim to teach the Bible in a Gospel-centered way, which means helping children know the Big story of the Bible and how every story points us to salvation through Jesus (1 Cor 15:1-3; Jn 5:39-40; Lk 24:27)
Walk in the Truth
We desire to help children develop a biblical worldview. Our aim is to get children anchored in the Scriptures and help them think biblically about all of life. We want their relationship with Jesus to have deep roots in the Word of God so they may live wisely and faithfully in the future (2 Tim 3:15-17; 3 John 4; Prov 2:1-5; Heb 4:12; 1 Pet 3:15)
Walk as Family
We value parents as the primary spiritual disciplers of their children and desire to equip them well to raise their kids in the Lord. We also desire for kids to experience the “church as family” and connect them with spiritual mentors and friends who will walk alongside them on their journey with Jesus. (Deut 6:4-8; Eph 6:1-2)
Walk as Light
Kids need to be shown how a life with Jesus works out in their actions. We will give kids opportunities to be a light to the world through love, service, generosity and Gospel witness. (Matt 5:14-16; Matt 28:18-20)
Walk in Wonder
We will endeavour to help kids see God’s majesty and express their joy in Him through prayer and worship. We will teach kids with spirit-filled passion, aiming to help them set their affections on God and teaching to their imagination. (Mark 12:30-31; Psalm 8:1-8; Psalm 16:11; Psalm 78:1-4)
